We embark together this February where we begin with the Presentation of Our Lord to wrap up the Christmas Season, and end the month with Ash Wednesday to start the Lenten Season. This month we as Knights need to set the example of preparing ourselves for Lent to the men of this parish by embracing a season of charity and selfsacrifice where we donate our time and efforts to bring joy and good spirits to those in need. We have opportunities to do so for the community not only with our pancake breakfast February 16th, but also with our first Knight’s Fish Fry Dinner February 28th. Thanks to the efforts of Jim and Cathy, our dinners are able to be delivered to families who are not able to make it to the fish fry. In between these events, we will also be able to assist those in need in our community by helping to make our famous breakfast burritos for families through the Higher Ground Health Screening Event February 8th, helping our own Youth Ministry by co-hosting a Mardi Gras event February 22nd to help raise some much needed funds and even assisting with parking on Ash Wednesday February 26th. No doubt there will be more help that will be needed as things always come up, but that is who we are and what we do. So let us prepare our minds, bodies and souls for the Lenten journey that lies ahead, especially for those involved in 40 for 40. Tempus Fugit Memento Mori Brothers.
